Bringing AR to Social Media
Remember back to those Nickelodeon shows like Double Dare and You Can’t Do That on Television? Yeah, who could forget? Our childhood memories of watching people getting slimed came to present day (augmented) reality when Nickelodeon invited us to fulfill our nostalgic dreams. We created two unique lenses for Nickelodeon on the Facebook AR platform that included Hey Arnold! AR accessories and a super green slime effects lens. We’ve developed an efficient pipeline for AR based content over the years, allowing us to pivot creative and provide imaginative content in response to users interaction. As AR experiences become commonplace, ephemeral content can now be created, published, and shared on increasingly fast project timelines.
Both lenses utilize the front and back cameras for unique effects. The front camera reveals a selfie lens for individual experiences with the AR functions. With the back camera, the whole gang can model with famous Hey Arnold accessories or alternatively, everyone can get slimed (if you’re into that). This job was a welcomed venture into AR, a space in which we have considerable history, with two phenomenal brands.
