Project Description

Story Telling With Our Favorite Characters.

Storytelling is the essence of the Disney brand and the core of our concept for the launch of Disney Junior – a 24 hour global network aimed at 2-7 year olds. Stories are built into every element of the on air package from bump ins to lower thirds. Phase 2 of the Disney Junior rebrand ushered in the use of Disney Heritage characters.We had the privilege to model from the original character sheets a whole cast of legacy Disney characters; characters we have all grown up with.

From there we animated them into short vignettes that would carry kids through programming breaks. For each property we adjusted the rendering / compositing technique to fall in line with that of the films making them feel as authentic as possible. For Jay lifting weights with Lou Ferigno would be the pinnacle but for Brien nothing beats starting your day with morning meetings at Walt Disney Feature Animation.
