In Into the Inklands, we gave Tinker Bell’s wings a 2D smear effect that’s as magical as it sounds, while also experimenting with ways to integrate 3D assets into a 2D world. We loved creating the journeys of Audrey from Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Prince Eric, as well as framing special moments for the small, but iconic Tinker Bell to take the spotlight.

With Ursula’s Return, we had the pleasure of bringing the infamous villain to her full, larger-than-life presence, creating a memorable moment for fans of both Disney Lorcana and The Little Mermaid. Creating the depth of a heavy atmosphere with distortion effects was an exciting challenge in a 2D environment—a cinematic feat only suited for the infamous Ursula herself.

Shimmering Skies is a vibrant celebration, featuring a range of iconic glimmers and beloved Disney characters. We made sure to showcase as much card art as possible, weaving each piece into a smooth, flowing sequence that kept the energy high and the visuals fresh. To bring even more intrigue to the celebration, we introduced a magical secret staircase, adding a touch of mystery —because what’s a celebration without a little surprise?

We kept the excitement up with a thrilling race between Baymax, Jim Hawkins, Jasmine, and the Kakamoras from Moana, all set against the magical backdrop of the Azurite Sea. Developing the animated look of a Story Star and the water was a unique challenge, especially while maintaining the Modern Storybook 2D style. From the fluid movement of the water to the intricate details in every frame, we added extra polish to every scene, ensuring the animation felt dynamic, yet true to its 2D roots.
