Break It Down for Me
It’s well known that the benefits and precautions of prescription drugs can be very complicated ideas to communicate. Trulicity ran into this when marketing their injectable diabetes therapy and partnered with us to help craft a series of explainer videos. Our goal was to educate their audience on how the pharmaceutical works and why it outperforms the competition. We were given access to their internal database of statistics (we were left impressed with the number of charts and graphs on offer) and asked to translate that information into something a friendly to the consumer, something they could see, understand and relate to easily.
To create the animations, we took six facts from our research and built a narrative around each one. We produced each spot using animated characters in fact-based scenarios with different backgrounds and transitions. 2D rigging provided a modular approach to the characters and helped us efficiently animate the six different narratives while relying on custom cel animation for the more dynamic elements. The result was a series of relatable stories, designed as an extension of their brand, that described just what Trulicity can do for patients looking for the best injectable diabetes therapy.
