THE CHALLENGE

Illustrate Therapeutic Advantages

It’s well known that the benefits and precautions of prescription drugs can be very complicated ideas to communicate. Trulicity ran into this when marketing their injectable diabetes therapy and partnered with us to help craft a series of explainer videos. Our goal was to educate their audience on how the pharmaceutical works and why it outperforms the competition. We were given access to their internal database of statistics (we were left impressed with the number of charts and graphs on offer) and advocated to translate that information into something more relatable.

OUR APPROACH

Break it Down for Me

To create the animations, we began by building a narrative around 6 core facts of the product. We produced each spot using animated characters in fact-based scenarios with different backgrounds and transitions lending a cinematic quality to the animations. 2D rigging provided a modular approach to the characters and helped us efficiently animate the six different narratives while relying on custom cel animation for the more dynamic elements and effects.

The result was a series of relatable stories, designed as an extension of their brand, that described just what Trulicity can do for patients looking for the best injectable diabetes therapy on the market today.
